and I almost forgot it completely.
Wednesday was testing day at school. The middle school kids took the Iowa test. The Freshmen,Sophomores, and Juniors took the PSAT. While the Seniors took the ASVAB test. Since it was going to take about 2-3 hours they decided to make a day of it. In the morning we all met for an opening assembly and we watched President Obama’s speech to school kids. I am in no way a fan of Obama, or any politician at this point, but I have to say that was a great speech. He advocated all the things I do; hard work, self responsibility, etc. It was great. I remember all the brouhaha before and even after and I really don’t know what the excitement was about. I know people were knocking that he said the kids succeeding was good for the country and that they had a responsibility to do good for the country. We do have a responsibility to do good for the good of the country!!! If we don’t, we end up being unproductive, going on welfare and dragging the country down. By finishing school, going to college, succeeding in whatever field we chose to pursue, we take the entire country up to a higher level. It really makes a lot of sense and I don’t understand why people were crazy. It’s one thing to attack Obama for doing things that are wrong, but to attack him just to attack him is just wrong. It was a very good speech that told it like it is. Success isn’t easy, it takes lots of hard work. Things like that. It was very, very good. With all the nonsense that people were saying about this speech you would have thought he was going to send out party invitations to join the communists. Jeez, overreact much????
Anyway, I just wanted to through that out there. I am not an Obama supporter but that was a good speech.

Very good information to hear from a teacher and fellow non-supporter of politicians. Thanks.
It’s amazing how many people are against his ideas and plans just to be against him.
He has some very good plans, for instance about the medical area and insurances and they even drag my country into it to proof Obama is wrong. But what they pose as the absolute truth about my country are straightforward lies. Like about waitinglists for surgery.
