Miscellaneous nonsense

I’ve been busy cleaning out my files.  I’m changing desks in my computer room and the new desk does not have file draws.  That means cleaning out the file cabinet so that I can fit the files from my current desk in there.  All I can say is Wow!!!  For years I had a habit of cleaning out my files at the beginning of the year.  I keep all my bills for 2 years just in case and the beginning of every year I would go through and throw out anything older then 2 years.  The only things I keep for longer are taxes, otherwise it’s out of here. Apparently I’ve not done that the last few years.  I had bills going back to 2002!!!  I also found some papers that I thought I had lost, divorce records and such.  It’s been a trip down memory lane, but things are getting cleaned out.  The problem is that I now have a huge pile of papers that need to be shredded.  I don’t have a shredder.  I know they have days where the commercial shredder is available to the public for free but I have been unable to track that down and find out where and when. So I don’t know what to do. Should I hold on to the papers until I find a community shred day or should I break down and buy a shredder which I can use for the daily mail etc…..  Ugh, I don’t know.

Yesterday I went looking for a Halloween costume.  At school a lot of the kids will dress up and there is a contest among the teachers for the best costume.  I got a cool sorcerer’s outfit.  I figured since I was a chemistry teacher a sorcerer would be perfect.  I’m also going to get these little skull bowls I found and get some dry ice to put in them so I have a smoking cup to carry around. Very cool. I saw an outfit yesterday that looked just like a cigar store Indian. I thought that would be really fun if you were going to a party. You could just stand in a corner and freak people out

Well, this room is not cleaning itself, I guess I should jump in and get started……
