My blog has been down. Apparently there was some sort of malware attack on Word Press. I was notified on May 5th by my hosting company that I needed to do an upgrade with a security patch. As is typical, I didn’t do it right away. I waited. Then went into my dashboard and nothing worked. Yikes. I have a plugin that does upgrades automatically but that wasn’t working because nothing was working. Apparently my site looked fine and some folks left comments so I guess the problem was strictly behind the scenes. Since I could not upgrade the normal way I had to go through my hosting company. I tried to follow the directions that Word Press put out, that my hosting company sent me in an email, but I ended up hopelessly lost. I needed to access my database but I couldn’t remember the password so I changed it. That’s when things went from bad to worse. At that point my site was completely down. No one could see it. I have spent the last 4 days on the phone with my hosting company trying to straighten it out. I must say that overall I love my hosting company. I have had nothing but awesome experiences with them. But this time I got a little ticked off. Seems that only the last person I spoke to really knew what they were doing. The others I had spoken to had me doing things that should have worked but that they had no real understanding of. One guy kept saying, that should work, that should work….Well, it didn’t!!! But the last guy I spoke to had a good idea what the problem was as soon as I explained it to him. He had me do something none of the others had tried and bam!! it was fixed. Awesome!!!! So now I have updated Word Press and everything is working again. I am one happy camper. Now I can get back to reading apidexin reviews which is way better then trying to fix a blog…..

I use Bluehost and have a few sites. I am always at the control panel – so no chance of forgetting the password. I do get panicy about something happening to my site and all my carefully-crafted posts. I do a lot of real estate and home remodeling posts that are fairly technical and would take “forever” to recreate. My host allows me to download the entire website anytime I like. I LIKE! Often!
