I tell you, I love Friday the 13th. Something good always happens on them. I love ‘em!!!
A while back we ran into some financial difficulties. If you’ve ever had money problems you know how quickly you can get into trouble and how long it can take to dig yourself out. So we had some problems. We got over them and then started the rebuilding process. It’s been slow, probably 18 months, but things are finally starting to click and I’m loving it.
In the past 3 weeks we’ve been able to put 4 credit cards to bed – forever
Tonight I got to make the final payment on one of the trucks. You have no idea how exciting that is. Even more exciting because we had 3 payments left and decided not to wait. We wanted to be like Nike and Just Do It. So we did.  This is wonderful, it’s like a huge weight has been lifted.
Money problems are funny. It is so easy to get into trouble, have an illness or accident, lose a job, have a major life crisis of some sort. But it takes forever to get out of it, or at least it seems that way. It’s like there’s this giant mountain. When you get into trouble you are in the valley at the bottom. You then have to struggle up and up and up. Sometimes you slip backwards but you keep trying to make forward progress. Suddenly, almost before you know it, you’re standing at the top. You’ve managed to climb that mountain and reach the peak. Then you start down the other side and the going gets easier and easier and easier. Before you know what happened, you’re at the bottom and the worst is over. That’s exactly what it felt like to me.
So there you have it. Probably more than you wanted to know about my financial life but trust me, it’s a good thing.
Hope everyone had as good a Friday the 13th as I did.

Congrats on payoing those cards off, and the truck! What a huge accomplishment. I am nearly there, but I know I may have some big money needs coming up now that I am divorced, so I’m just trying to get things squared away first.
Friday the 13th is my luckiest day of the year. You see, in 1998 it brought me a beautiful little girl, who was not only born on a Friday the 13th, but a full moon and lunar eclipse!
Anyway, I love Friday the 13th!
Congrats on your financial dealings!
